Built From Experience
Nawiri Organics was founded from firsthand experience. As smallholder vegetable farmers, we lived the challenges of rising input costs, declining soil fertility, poor waste management, and limited market access. These pressures make farming increasingly unviable for millions of smallholders.
We built Nawiri Organics to solve these challenges at the system level—by connecting soil health, waste, and food markets into one circular model.
Our approach closes the loop between the communities we serve. We collect organic waste from smallholder farmers, households, and market vendors—the same ecosystem that consumes our products—and convert it into high-performance organic biostimulants. In parallel, we aggregate and distribute African leafy vegetables from smallholders back to vendors and households.
In Kenya alone, over 4 million tonnes of organic waste are sent to landfills annually, with 60% being agricultural waste, driving methane emissions and public waste costs.
By reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers, Nawiri lowers production costs while rebuilding soil health. Our biostimulant delivers up to 30% yield improvement and 38% cost reduction, creating measurable economic, environmental, and social returns—at scale.
